When you stumble...

Coming off the inspiration of Fitbloggin - I'm sure you will have a great week. Stumbles happen, Lord knows I've fallen down more than once, but like you said you just need to believe in yourself and pick yourself up. ((hugs))

I met you at Fitbloggin last year, and was bummed I couldn't go this year. But I am still following, and really appreciate that you talk about the stumbles as well as successes. Everyone experiences both in most aspects of our lives. Hope you have a good week-

So, first of all, it was awesome to see you again, but I am sorry we didn't spend more time talking. I think that is one of my biggest regrets about these types of events: I get overwhelmed. I do so much better when it's one-on-one, or a small group.

Second, I'm glad to hear that you're not blaming anyone, and most importantly not yourself! All too often we're taught, "don't be a victim, don't blame anyone else" etc. and that's good advice EXCEPT when we then start to blame ourselves. Sure, we can take responsibility, but the blame/shame component has no place in the conversations we have with ourselves.

And finally? You've got this. You've got everything you need. Your sister and family are in my thoughts...she's very lucky to have you, and YOU are lucky to have you. Put yourself first and you'll be able to care for them too.

When we get out of our routines & our own kitchens it's hard! I'm not gonna lie, I splurged a little in Baltimore. But What matters is getting right back on track. :) SO glad we can all be open and honest and lean on each other when we stumble. :) SO so happy that I got to see you again. :) Lets chat soon!

I'm so glad I got to see you at FitBloggin and spend some time together. The weekend was jammed packed but so worth it. Being outside of the routine is challenging and if you add stress and worry for your loved ones, it takes a toll on your body. Believe me I know. But I'm sure you'll have a great week, especially coming off the FitBloggin high! :)

"It is what it is." <-This.

Everyone stumbles, but you owned up to it and are back on track. That is all sorts of huge.

Even when stumbling, you're such an inspiration! I've definitely had my share of stumbles on this journey, but we just have to push through -- moving onward & upward always. All the best to you this week!

Alan, you are one of the most dedicated family guys out there. I am glad everyone is okay, but I will be thinking of you and your family as you deal with whatever it is you need to keep private.

I think you are an incredibly resilient person, Alan, and you will bounce back from this little stumble. Have a great weekend!

Glad everyone is ok. Something I have to remind myself lately is I can't emotionally take on others problems even people I love dearly.

Yes, we all stumble for sure I know it well. Good for you for still making it to the gym. I know for myself the gym (or exercise in general) always helps with the emotional side of things I'm stumbling through too. Hang in there you will get your routine back. Just keep being good to yourself.

It was really great to get to meet you at fitbloggin and talk a bit. You are a really nice guy. Glad to know you :)
